Activities

At LAPS, we try to prioritize our services based on the most urgent needs of our animal friends, needs that go far beyond simply providing a safe shelter from the deprivations and cruelty they so often face.

Rabies Control

Removing the threat of rabies in our communities through mass vaccination of stray dogs, as well as providing vaccinations to dogs with homes

Adoption

Implementing an adoption program for dogs to decrease the number of animals euthanized, along with a screening process to match animals and people for compatibility, to decrease the number of animals returned to the shelter due to poor placement and to prevent animal abuse

Population Control

Implementing a neuter and spay program to decrease animal population growth, which will not only protect the community, but protect against medical and behavioural problems in domestic animals

Government

Cooperation with the local, provincial, national and international authorities in the field of planning and implementing animal welfare projects

Shelter & Medical

Providing a temporary shelter with care and relief for injured, abandoned and stray dogs to give them the help they need to prepare for new, loving homes

Education & Community

Organizing and promoting animal welfare lectures, training courses, training programs, conferences and publish their contents and guidance for the benefit of any individual, community, charitable institution or organization
